DATELINE DALLAS. Welcome to Hired Gun Comics, the creator-owned comic book label of me, Cal Slayton. I'm not doing a whole lot with this site right now since I'm fortunate enough to be busy drawing "Shades of Blue" for Digital Webbing. So, this label takes a back seat to that project as long as it's around. If you haven't heard of "Shdes of Blue", be sure to visit the website to find out more about it. Even though I haven't done much with Hired Gun Comics, I have managed to publish two mini-comics under the label. One is "Lost Child" which originally was published in the sold out "Digital Webbing Presents #1". It tells the story of a private eye on the trail of a killer. The other is "Spookytown", a project that I have future plans for, which is about (again) a private eye in a town that's a mix of 40's Film Noir and 50's Horror.
